UKRI funded, Fellow led

The Future Leaders Fellows Development Network is a programme designed to support the professional development of Future Leaders Fellows.

The Network delivers specialised leadership training, access to networks and mentors, and collaborative opportunities, so that members can pursue world-class interdisciplinary, cross-sector research and innovation.

PATHWAYS Programme

In 2023, a new cohort of 60 UKRI-funded researchers joined the Future Leaders Fellows Development Network through the PATHWAYS Programme.

PATHWAYS ran from April 2023 to September 2024, and offered participants a range of tailored leadership and development opportunities, including access to workshops, networking events, mentoring, and one-to-one coaching with specialists.

We have now concluded our formal evaluation of the programme, and are pleased to note overwhelmingly positive feedback. If you’d like to see a copy of the evaluation, or if you’d like to discuss the programme in more depth, please contact our Programmes Manager by emailing hello@flfdevnet.com.

Strategic Research Leadership Symposia Programme

In 2025, a new cohort of 55 senior research leaders of UKRI investments was formed under the Strategic Research Leadership Symposia, delivered by the Future Leaders Fellows Development Network.

Designed around a two-part programme, the Research Leadership Symposia is a unique opportunity to explore research and innovation leadership with your peers. RLS has been designed to give you opportunities to network, share experiences, give and receive peer support and think collectively about leadership.
